Vreni Häussermann received Rolex Award 2016
The GeoBio-Center Member Vreni Häusserman has been awarded with the 2016 Rolex Award of Enterprise. Vreni Häussermann is director of the Huinay Scientific Field Station in Chilean Patagonia and conducts multidisciplinary research on biodiversity, conservation and sustainable resource management for many years. Her work, particularly her baseline research including species inventories and biological diversity studies through space and time, have been published in numerous publications, television and newspaper reports. Her dedication for research and protection of this "Hotspot of Biodiversity" has now been awarded by the Rolex Award of Enterprise.
