Academic and Student Exchange Agreement signed with South Valley University (Egypt)

egyptOn February 12, 2009, the GeoBio-Center and the Faculty of Geosciences of the LMU signed an Academic and Student Exchange Agreement with the Faculty of Science of South Valley University, Quena, Egypt. This five-year agreement will provide a platform for mutual research projects and enhance bilateral collaborations and student exchange on the geology, geobiology, and biodiversity of the Red Sea basin.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Abbas Mansour (President South Valley University), Prof. Putz (Vice-President LMU), Prof. Wörheide (Initiator of the agreement and Speaker of the GeoBio-CenterLMU), Prof. Mauser (Dean of the Faculty of Geosciences, LMU), Prof. Elgemeie (counsellor of the embassy of Egypt), and Dr. David (International Affairs Office, LMU).
